Today after media reports Gujarat government has left the post vacant member of Human Rights Commission in Gandhinagar.
Earlier there were news of P P Pandey former IPS and DGP Gujarat’s appointment as member of Human Rights Commission.
Pandey was one of the accused in the much talked off Ishrat Jahan encounter case and his alleged role in a fake encounter in which Ishrat Jahan, a 19-year-old girl based in Mumbra, Javed Shaikh alias Pranesh Pillai, Amjadali Akbarali Rana and Zeeshan Johar, were killed on the outskirts of Ahmedabad in 2004.
