Today Morning PM Narendra Modi held his trademark ‘chai pe charcha’ with MPs from Gujarat in New Delhi, according to sources. The ‘chai pe charcha’ was held in the PM Modi’s residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg. Senior BJP leader L K Advani and party president Amit Shah were present in the meeting. The discussion can be seen as a precursor event as Assembly elections in Gujarat are due this year.
BJP is keen to extend the seats tally in the upcoming election to send a strong message before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. After securing historic mandate in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, PM Modi and BJP president Amit Shah is seeking to maintain the winning run. Gujarat is key, given the fact, it is home turf of both PM Modi and Shah.
According to sources, BJP Prez Amit Shah will attend the ongoing budget session of the Gujarat Assembly on March 30, a day before the session draws to a close. Amit Shah is the MLA from Naranpura seat of Ahmedabad.
