Penalty for non-wearing of face masks and spitting in public places in Gujarat has been increased. The penalty amount has been increased from Rs. 200 to Rs. 500. The new rule will come into effect from August 1. Court also took strict action on the issue of face masks.The decision of increasing penalty for non-wearing of face masks in Gujarat was taken by Rupani government in wake of public interest after spur in Covid-19 cases in Surat.
Yesterday there were 1045 New Covid-19 cases 7 from other states and 22 deaths, 1015
There are Active 13146 cases , Death toll is 2348 Recovered 41380 and Total 56874 in Gujarat state with 667844 tests conducted till now. 473299 people Quarantined.
In most affected cities of Gujarat, Surat 258 cases Death 9 and in Ahmedabad cases 184 and Death 4.
Ordinary face masks will be available for Rs 2 from Amul Parlor.
