Patan remain partially closed after incident of self immolation at Collector Office
After yesterday’s incident of self immolation by a dalit person Bhanubhai Vankar in front of Patan Collector Office over long pending land dispute, today local youths are moving in market and appealing shop owners to keep their shops closed. Youths are getting support from Shop keepers.
Youths are going to ST bus stand to stop the buses plying from different areas. They are expressing their anger against the incident and a bias towards the community by government. Youths demand a high level of enquiry and written assurance by authority to do justice in the case. Local activist and youth have gathered in a big number and pressing administration to satisfy their demands.
Shops which were open in morning have closed down in the afternoon after appeal from local youths.
Tight police security has been imposed.
