Congress MLA Paresh Dhanani from Amreli is on indefinite hunger strike for past 6 days in wake of compensation to farmers of Amreli district. There is an estimate of Rs 1600 crores loss during June 24 flood in Amreli against which Dhanani feels government has shown insensitivity to Amreli farmers by just granting aid of Rs 300 crores. Dhanani said government is adding salt to wounds of Amreli farmars.
Dhanani cried for farmers during his hunger strike at Rajkamal Chowk in Amreli. Dhanani was accompanied by Shankersinh Vaghela.
