Prevailing Threats of war between Ukraine and Russia. Parents have demanded rescue of students living in Ukraine amid fears of war between two countries. Parents contacted secretariat with a demand for rescue and made representations to Gujarat Chief Minister and state Revenue Minister.
Students get education in medical and engineering branch in Ukraine as it is cheaper compared to India.
Yesterday Gujarat minister Rajendra Trivedi got parents talk to their children studying in Ukraine. Minister has assured all the help to parents who approached him in Gandhinagar.
Foreign ministry has sought information from Gujarat government on students from Gujarat studying in Ukraine. The information about students from Gujarat has been provided. Gujarat government will seek help of Embassy of India in Ukraine. Students have been asked to contact Embassy of India.
In an advisory for Indian nationals in Ukraine, the Embassy of India in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv has asked Indians, “particularly students whose stay is not essential”, to temporarily leave Ukraine in light of a potential Russian invasion of the country. In war like situation in Ukraine, students from India also wants to return home to India.
