Pakistan lifts ban on Death Penalty after Taliban attack at Peshawar

Yesterday, after Taliban attack killing 144 innocent students of Army school in Peshawar, Pakistan has forced Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reinstated the death penalty in terrorism cases.

Three days of mourning have started post Pakistan’s deadliest terror attack which saw seven gunmen storm on army-run school.

Government spokesman said Mr Sharif had approved the lifting of the ban on death penalties.It was decided that this moratorium should be lifted. The prime minister approved. Black warrants [execution orders] will be issued within a day or two.It had been in place since 2008. One execution has taken place since then.
