Everywhere, when there is a discussion of growth or progress, name of Gujarat model remains at top. Recently, a four member delegation from Lahore,Pakistan on official tour to Ahmedabad city to study Sabarmati Riverfront Development Model of Sabarmati River. While in city to study the model for 3 days, Pak delegation will interact with AMC arhitect and engineers, said AMC officials. During general elections in Indian and implementation of model code of conduct, delegation had postponed its visit.
Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner, said, “They have came on Sunday evening to visit and study Sabarmati Riverfront and its development. They will meet concerned architect, engineers and other officials who were part of the development project. They will senior AMC officials, too”. Four member Pakistani delegation comprises Lahore Commissioner Rashid Mehmood Langrial, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director-General Ahad Khan Cheema, LDA’s strategic policy unit chief Moazzam Sipra and Mustafa Kamal Chaudhry, a technical expert/ consultant on urban infrastructure projects.
