In a big and shocking news, eight journalists of Gujarat were paid a cheque worth Rs 50,000 for Republic day coverage of January 26, 2020 by Gujarat government.

Gujarat Chief Secretary Anil Mukim is unaware about the matter and assured to look into it.
A press conference was held by Rajkot Collector Remya Mohan to clarify allegations on Gujarat government. A list of media was read out by Collector who were given for the coverage for the R Day event. In some cases, cheque were issued in the name of Individuals instead of publication. Paid news are given during election added Remya. This Ad was given from Lok Mela Audited funds, towards which some agencies have submitted and some are yeat to submit them.
