Today on 12th May International Nurses Day, in Gujarat 2000 Nursing staff and 700 Medical Teachers of 8 GEMRS Gujarat Medical & Education Research Society college including Ahmedabad Sola Civil hospital, Surat Civil Hospital, Sabarkantha medical college to be on indefinite strike over pending demands like PF, promotion,outsourcing and allowances. Repeated plea to government has fallen on deaf ears.
Nurses on strike were spotted staging demonstrations with placards and banners.
Amid Coronavirus pandemic, it is difficult to manage hospitals without Nurses.
