On Sunday, English Fiction Novel by Nirmal University Alumni Vaibhav Gohel was launched in the city. Ahmedabad based author Vaibhav Gohel started developing taste and interest in Art, Theater, and Drama when he use to participate in College Skit and Mime groups, during initial time when he learned the ins and outs of script writing. The launch of the book was graced by eminent dignitaries from the field of education and academics. Dr. Manjunath Ghate (Director of Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University), Dr. Harshad Patel (Associate Professor of SUG College of Education, Vasna, Ahmedabad), Dr. Komal Vora Shah (Asst. Professor & Course Coordinator of LJ Institute of Media & Communication, Ahmedabad) and Mr. Ravi Desai (Youngest Syndicate Member of Gujarat University- Student Leader) together launched the book titled ‘U-Turn’.
Vaibhav Gohel is a pharmacist by profession and writer by passion. This book is his first novel published on a larger scale. The novel is partly based on real life and partly a fiction. He plans to jot down more stories in the future. The book is based on two imaginary characters Sunny and Lara. They were best friends at one time and then their life takes a sharp U Turn and it changed their life forever. Real life has many U Turns hence Vaibhav finds title of the book very much suitable. Youngsters will mainly connect with this novel.
Author Vaibhav Gohel says, “My only advice to all the young struggling writers is that they must not get demotivated because of the challenges they face during the writing and publishing of their novels would pay them off in future. Writing to work against your profession is never easy, but be passionate enough & don’t give up.”
