Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is yet to create magic at the box office but actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is already reaping benefits off it. The actor disclosed to a newspaper that he has been offered a role in the Emmy-winning hit series, Game of Thrones. Neil told the newspaper that it was all thanks to his upcoming release, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Neil plays a royal character in the Sooraj Barjatya film and has many action sequences. Two of the sword-fighting sequences he features in were directed by Greg Powell.
Powell is an action director who has worked on blockbuster movies including the Harry Potter series and Avengers: Age of Ultron. He also happens to be the stunt director for Game of Thrones. Powell was apparently so impressed with Neil’s dedication and commitment to the month-long training he had to undergo for the action sequences that he offered him a role in the HBO TV show.
Neil Nitin Mukesh also told that he will play a royal character and be a part of action scenes. Also, while discussions are yet to formally begin, he has no problems if he has to go nude, the way many actors on the show have done till date. GoT’s sixth season started filming in July and chances are we will see Mukesh in season seven. India seems to be the flavour of choice on American television. After Priyanka Chopra won hearts with her portrayal of Alex Parrish on Quantico, it is now the turn of Mukesh to add an Indian royal touch to American television.
