Today in Gandhinagar, Shanker Chaudhary Health Minister of Gujarat while clarifying on which exams HSC science students to take up for admissions in medical or engineering courses, Chaudhary made an important announcement for HSC science students will only have to appear for NEET exam (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and not GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test, a state level exam ). NEET and GUJCET were conducted for entrance into graduate level Engineering and Medical courses. For para medical courses, marks of Gujarat Board would be sufficient.
Till now HSC Science students had to appear for GUJCET and 3 other exams.
