Today in Gandhinagar, on National Immunization Day NID Pulse Polio campaign was started by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and health minister Shanker Chaudhary Gujarat government for children between 0 to 5 years of age.
A child was vaccinated by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
Pulse Polio programme will cover more than 84,00,000 children distributed through 37,500 booth with a team of 1,71,900 team members.
In rural areas of the state 3459 mobile teams have been formed. After April 2007, no cases of polio were registered.
