Savji Dholakiya Surat based diamond trader is in controversy for excavating river bed of Narmada river at Bharuch and making a wide passage for his transportation route.
The place is located in Jhagadia taluka in Govali village.
It is learnt that Dholakiya is an influential person, known for gifting car to his employees during Diwali, would have presumed of dominance on natural resources like Narmada River Bed as a personal property and excavated a route without permission of GCPB Gujarat Pollution Control Board of Gujarat government.
The passage from which he created passes from dry river bed of Narmada and even the flow of river route was affected.
It has come to light that a big farm house was built on river bank without permission from the authority.
After getting the news in media, land revenue officers were on run and will submit its report to Narmada Collector.
Even concerned supervisor has admitted his mistake in the case.
Reacting on the case, Dholakiya says no intention to spoil environment. We will remove it, if administration tells us.
Of late, kachha road made by Dholakiya is being demolished.
