Today following heavy rain in Upstream of Narmada dam in Madhya Pradesh and Maharsahtra latest situation at Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam at 9.00 am is as follows :
Surface – 134.96 m
Water influx – 3,57,730 cusecs
Outflow of water into the river by the gate and by the powerhouse – 1,00,943 cusecs
13,067 cusecs of water outflow into canal.
Total water outflow ( from gates + to powerhouse + canal) – 1,14,007 cusecs
Currently 10 gates are opened up to 0.85 m.
Live storage – 4598.60 cusecs
Low lying areas in Narmada and nearby districts have been alerted by state administration and more than 4500 people have been shifted to safer places.
