Nandita Singgha, Technocrat turned Producer- Director to salvage Gujarati Film Industry -

Recently, Mumbai based Technocrat turned Producer- Director, Nandita Singgha, a young, dynamic, charismatic and enterprising lady talks and shares her business ideas and vision with media. Nandita says since my childhood I was very creative doing sketching etc, I never liked to be in helplessness. I was never dependent. I completed my basic education. I wanted to be entrepreneur.

We have 20 offices across India and 36 offices worldwide including Dubai, UK, Hong kong and in other countries.

In days of Electronic Type Writers. I tried to approach governmental agencies including Indian Army, defense but did not get adequate response, initially. I sold my technology to US and later when I got recognition, people appreciated my work.

I worked for Modiji on Gujarat IT Hub with Gujarat Sachivalaya on Video Conferencing Technology. Modiji used to support technological aspects.

People will recognize your work automatically. I learnt Hindi in 3 months by watching TV. I learnt Sanskrit too. Sanskrit and German language has resemblance.

I feel our youth requires change, a paradigm shift. Teenager of 13-14 has maturity of youth with 25 years.

Till now, I have worked on Technology, where I found that there is lot of business and less of time.

I did my Press Conference, a few years ago when Mr Sunil Dutt was alive on use of Satellite Technology. I was trained by Motorola company. I had made my own technological solution. I sold my technology to US after less response in India and returned to India during 2007-08. My productions are first recognized abroad and then catch attention in India.

In those days, there was a need for transcoder without which one could not air the program. I deviced my own solution. UFO and many production houses approached me for digital solution. Then I prepared my own 4k solution. HD Color , it’s a new format of cinema with 16 million colors. I sold my technology to JVC, Japan. 4K audio is a future of cinema.

She believes that

there is no age for talent, it should be displayed. You have to explore innovation in yourself. You can succeed only if you have novelty

Nandita looks forward to salvage Gujarati Film Industry. Our rich Gujarati and family culture is in danger, after marriage son goes for separate living from joint family.

She is confident that, if she can win in technical field then why not in film making and entertainment India. Gujarat is flourishing. Gujaratis are everywhere. Modiji is promoting Gujarat at large. There are many people eager to support Gujarati film industry. I would like to execute my projects in Gujarat. Latest filming equipments are not so expensive. Gujarati industry needs change, there is need for fresh talent, new actor and there is need to hunt for right talent.

On furthering her conversation she explains, We have GETCONNECT idea of connecting our youth, grooming them and make them part of our projects and industry.

On a question of digital solution and linkage with PM Modi’s vision of Digital India, Nandita said

that we are already digital, our youth is digital with smart mobile, clicking at once, taking snaps, uploading them on FB, WhatsApp, Instagram, scanning them and using them in day to day life

Talking about her Gujarati film based projects, she explained that soon shooting would start in prime locations in Gujarat.

I have approached Gujarat Chief Minister on salving Gujarati film industry and revenues that would be generated out of our Gujarai film projects to Gujarat government. My four films, Mid dey, J Returns, MegaCorp and Red would be announced soon, out which 3 movies I would be directing myself, says Nandita with shine in her eyes. Presently, I do not Gujarati but if need arise I will master Gujarati language even. I have directed movies in 11 languages.

On a question about projects of Gujarati s TV serials on small screens and Gujarati plays, she said we have plans for daily soaps and Gujarati plays even.
