Today evening at 4 pm in Mumbai, big fire was reported in Colaba area in the Metro House building on the Colaba Causeway, a busy commercial street in southern part of the city. No casualties or injuries were reported. Dark smokes have been coming out of the top floors of Metro House since the fire broke out. Smokes are visible from long distance. Fire fighters rushed to the site and continued rescue operation. Traffic jam were reported near the site. The area was cordoned for security reasons. The building houses the famous Cafe Mondegar and a McDonald’s outlet. It is very close to Regal Cinema, a Mumbai landmark.
