More than 5000 Congress leaders detained during Bharat Bandh Call against price rise of Petrol and Diesel
On unbearable increase in petrol and diesel, the Congress Party gave ‘Bharat Bandh’ and received tremendous support from the general and middle class people.
Most of the schools and colleges in the state remained closed, in support of fuel price. Owing to ‘Bharat Bandh’ call of Congress Party incidents of road jam were seen in Gujarat.
More than 5000 Congress leaders including Gujarat President Amit Chavda, Incharge Rajeev Satav, Arjun Modhwadia, Manish Doshi, Gyasuddin Shaikh, Shailesh Parmar and others were detained, incidents of friction with police were reported.
