Today, senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel visited Ahmedabad on account of Gujarat Formation Day. Patel along with Gujarat Pradesh President Bharatsinh Solanki and other senior leaders paid floral tribute to Sardar Patel.
A press meet in Ahmedabad at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan in GPCC office was held. From Gujarat Congress leaders including Shankarsinh Vaghela, Arjun Modhwadia, Shaktisinh Gohil, Siddharth Patel, Tushar Chaudhary, Madhusudan Mistry and other MLAs, partymen were present.
All senior Congress leaders addressed media and partymen.
Ahmed Patel said to expect from this BJP government would lead to frustration only because they have forgotten activist of MahaGujarat move. Quoting example of late Ghelubhai Nayak who sacrificed his luxurious life style and preferred to live in Dang district, was a real fighter and activist of Gujarat. Congress has always stood by Adivasis and worked towards betterment of Gujarat. We salute the winning spirit of Gujaratis, they can turn loss making thing into a profit making business. Patel also said that this government is using Hologram Technology for public addressing, it cannot touch people just it can have superficial contact.
UPA government has supported farmers by forgoing their debt, by giving them MSP (Minimum Sale Price) and giving them benefit. With this government’s policies farmers are in deep trouble. Make In India is baseless and there is no rise in investment. Unemployment has increased.
On 56th formation day, Gujarat President Bharatsinh said BJP govt has forgotten the sacrifices of Gujarat activist who shed their blood. Now this govt is playing with future of children in Gujarat. depriving workers from their basic right. 5 lakh farmers in Gujarat are troubled without electricity connection. We had given 3 fold MSP to farmers and debt worth Rs 71,000 crore was forgiven. Loans to farmers were given at very low interest rates. By modifying land bill this government wants to help land mafias. Health and Educational Systems have degraded. When collection was made for individual gain how benefit to common man is possible asked Bharatsinh.
