Narendra Modi government has recommended names to the President for appointment as Governors of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Goa, as per sources.
NDA government has so far appointed six Governors – Ram Naik of Uttar Pradesh, Keshari Nath Tripathi of West Bengal, Om Prakash Kohli of Gujarat, Balram Ji Das Tandan ofChhattisgarh, Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya of Nagaland and Kaptan Singh Solanki of Haryana.
