Merino Industries, largest provider of potato storage and ready-to-cook brand Vegit is planning for investment worth Rs 50 crores in Gujarat. Merino with its processing facilities in India is now planning for second manufacturing plant in Gujarat, was informed by MD of Vegit group. He further said, “Vegit will raise production capacity to 12,000 metric tonnes from current 8,000 metric tonnes by March 2015”.
The plant is expected to be commissioned by 2017.
