Today afternoon at 4 pm in Surat, Massive fire breaks out in Takshshila complex in Sarthana area. 15 students died in the incident. Some students jumped from the top of the building. Before jumping they started screaming out of fear.Some students were suffocated, some were charred to death and some jumped off the complex during fire.
Wounded students taken to PP Savani, Kiran and Smimer hospital. Brigade call was declared in Surat. 30 to 40 students in tuition classes were stranded in the complex.
Reason of fire is short circuit in the complex. Parents have rushed to the complex. They complaint of fire tenders arrived late at the site. There are inadequate fire safety arrangements complans parents at the site.
Fire fighter at the site. Hydraulic ladder is used in rescue operation. Water was finised during rescue operation.
State Education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama is unaware of the incident. Gujarat CM took stock of the situation.
