Today Kevda Teej, also known as Kevda Trij, is a festival observed mainly in Gujarat by married women, they observe strict fast and offer prayers to the Lord and the Goddess.women seek blessings for the well being and long life of their husbands.
They worship lord Shanker and do fasting, the fast involves complete abstinence from food and water from sunrise to moonrise. Avoid Specific Foods: Certain foods, such as grains and salt, are avoided. Instead, fruits and milk may be consumed if the fast is observed partially.6 A. The festival is celebrated on the third day of the Shukla Paksha of Bhadra in Gujarat. This observance is similar to the Hartalika Teej.
