It’s love at first sight for Mangalsen (Karan Sharma) when he sees Meenakshi (Shivshakti Sachdeva) while on a family outing to watch Ram Leela. Mangalsen’s entire family gets together to unite him with his lady love when they learn about his love story. The family succeeds in getting Mangalsen and Meenakshi married and are ecstatic to find the ideal daughter-in-law. Meenakshi blends in well with the family and there is not a moment when she is not surrounded by them which irks Mangalsen as he wishes to spend some quality time with his newly wedded wife.
Soon Meenakshi’s mother informs the family about some rituals that’s need to be performed for which she will have to be away from home for a month. Mangalsen who is distraught after hearing about the Pag Phera ritual hatched a plan to injure himself so that Meenakshi can come back soon. He hits himself with a cricket bat and injures his leg. However his plan is foiled when the doctor informs him that the injury is very minor and he will recover in a day or two. A desperate Mangalsen manages to convince the doctor to plaster his leg so as to make it look like a serious injury and the doctor reluctantly complies. Meenakshi on hearing about the mishap rushes to be by Mangalsen and care for him.
What will it lead to when Meenakshi finds out about Mangalsen’s fake injury? Will she realise his undying love for her?
Karan Sharma who plays Mangalsen said, “Mangalsen Ke Prem Patra is based out of Haridwar and is a very unique yet innocent love story between the lead protagonists. Mangalsen who is madly in love with his wife Meenakshi tries all the tricks in the book to spend more time with her. Eventually all his antics while trying to do so leads to hilarious situations which will leave the audience in splits.”
