A sweeping mandate The BJP-led political alliance is projected to capture over 200 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, according to the latest updates from ECI Election Commission of India. BJP spokesperson Pravin Darekar announced that Devendra Fadnavis is likely to reclaim his position as chief minister, saying, “We knew we would win, but never expected such an overwhelming result.” As votes are counted, the BJP leads in 125 of the 288 seats, signaling a decisive mandate.
