Maharashtra: 17 killed in truck-tempo accident on Pune-Satara highway

Today morning at 6 am in Maharashtra, at least 17 persons were killed and 15 were injured after truck-tempo collision on Pune-Satara highway.

The accident took place at Khandala village near Khambha Chakli bridge. There were all laborers traveling in a truck from Karnataka to Pune. The truck was bearing RTO number KA 37 6037 and loaded with construction material.

Accident took place when it became uncontrollable and collided with a tempo.

Police and ambulance reached the site. Injured were admitted to nearby hospital. Dead bodies have been sent for post mortem.

As per doctors, death toll may rise as some are critically injured.
