Lockdown 4 guidelines of Gujarat announced by Vijay Rupani

Today evening Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani announced Lockdown 4 guidelines. Rupani was accompanied by Gujarat deputy chief minister Nitin Patel and Gujarat Home Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja.

Nationwide lockdown was imposed in India since 22nd March 2020 by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. In Gujarat there are more than 11,000 Covid-19 cases as per latest figures.

People of Gujarat were eager to know state specific guidelines.

CM Rupani made following announcements keeping in mind boost economic of activities in the state:

  • Essential services to start in Containment Zone from 8 am to 3 pm
  • In Non Containment Zone shops to open based on Odd- Even system from 8 am to 4 pm
  • Auto rickshaws to run in Ahmedabad and Surat with only 2 passengers
  • Hair Salon and Pan Parlors to open in Non Containment Zone
  • Night Curfew to remain from 7 pm to next day morning upto 7 am
  • Marriage functions can be held with 50 persons
  • Ritual ceremony can be performed with 20 persons
  • For Containment zones: No Change in policy
  • For Non-Containment zones:
  • Between 8 am to 4 pm, all shops can be open
  • Between 7 pm to 7 am, curfew across Gujarat
  • College/Schools, coaching class, malls, theatres, temples, gardens etc to remain closed
  • Restaurant/Hotels to remain Closed
  • Odd even formula for shopping complexes with Maximu 5 persons in a Shop
  • Western Ahmedabad, offices, Shops etc will be allowed with odd/even formula
  • Eastern Ahmedabad, no allowances
  • In entire Gujarat, ST buses will start except Ahmedabad
  • Shops include pan shops will be allowed for take away only
  • Hair Salon / Beauty parlors allowed outside containment zones
  • Cabs, taxis allowed with driver plus 2 passengers
  • For private cars, driver plus 2 passengers
  • But for Ahmedabad, in eastern zone, no cars allowed
  • Home deliveries allowed based on health card
  • On Highways, dhabas allowed to remain open
  • Private offices allowed with 33% staff, except east Ahmedabad
  • All repairs shops, service stations, will be allowed to start
  • On 2 wheeler, only 1 person will be allowed
  • In Surat, Textile units allowed with 50% of staff
  • For not wearing mask/Spitting, Rs. 200 penalty
  • 3 layer masks for Rs. 5, N 95 masks for Rs 60, will be sold at Amul Parlors within 2 days
  • ST bus service to resume in the state except to and from Bus service from Ahmedabad
  • Hotel and Restaurants will be able to make home delivery
