Issue of payment of school fees for the term falling over lockdown period has heated up between parents, school administrators and Gujarat government and the decision being legalling challenged by school administrators in state high court.
Today hearing was held in the Gujarat High Court on the issue of Online education and school fees of private school in the state.
In a statement by Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama denied to move Supreme Court challenging High Court judgment on school fees in private schools.
Gujarat government, understanding the sentiments and demands of the parents, rejected the circular issued by Gujarat High Court regarding the school fees payment. As per Gujarat government, Private schools cannot take fees till they were closed and a GR was issued on July 16, the GR, stated that the amount already deposited by parents will be adjusted against the fee later and no school can expel any student for not depositing fee till June 30. Schools cannot charge for any facility not provided by them it added.
As a Reaction of school administrators after the order of Gujarat High Court, ruled in their favor. HC demanded that Chief Minister should meet with the school administrators, also parents and school administrators should hold a meeting.
