Due to atrocities on Dalits in Una, there is a wide speard effect of the incident.
Today in Ahmedabad, in response to a PIL Public Interest Litigation Gujarat government submitted that presently situation in the state is disturbed due to protest by Dalits. Government replied in connection with Dalist of Naredi village in Abdasa taluka of Kutch district. In such a situation demolition of Dalit housing would agravate the atmosphere further so the activity may be granted time allowance. Government is worried on suicide by Dalits. Hearing on PIL by Gujarat HC would be made 3 weeks later.
Lawyer of Dalits pleaded to HC that after 2001 earthquake in Gujarat, then Collector of Kutch had allotted the land. The matter is subjudice in Civil court too. On other side there was an argument made that Dalits are staying in middle of Naredi village and captured land of government.
