Karnataka: Congress-JDS submit list of 117 MLAs to Governor for government formation
Today horse trading has started among BJP Bharatiya Janta Party and Congress to get power in Karnataka. A series of meeting among arch rivals BJP and Congress has started and both are try ing to work out a game plan to make government in Karnataka. Yeddurappa has met Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala. Independent MLA R Shanker has extended support to BJP through a letter to Governor. Evevn 7 Congress MLAs have extended support to BJP.
JD(S) has called a meeting of its MLAs in which 12 MLAs have not attended the meeting which has become a talk of town and speculations are made on not attending meeting by them. BJP is apply full force to capture Kartaka whereas Congress and JDS are working out a merger solution. Now its time to see whether JDS will turn out as a King Maker or it will a prerogative of Governor to invite first party to form government.
JDS and Congress leaders on Wednesday met Vajubhai Vala in Raj Bhawan and submitted a list claiming support of 117 MLAs.
Both parties had also submitted the resolutions about their alliance passed in both their legislature party meetings to the Governor.
Kumaraswamy said the Governor told the delegation that after consulting legal experts on the Supreme Court judgments, he would “come to a decision and inform us about it.” Next step has to be decided by the Governor, he added.
Governor said he will decide about considering the claim in accordance with the Constitution.
Kumaraswamy said all the JDS MLAs are intact with us.
