Sensing the opportunity, Juno’s Pizza, Mumbai’s Largest Vegetarian Pizza Chain today opened its first equity outlet in Ahmedabad.
Ahmedabad is one of the 6 mini metros in the country (others being Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad) that contribute 20% to the growth story of the food industry of India which is close to the 22% contribution of the mega metros (Mumbai & Delhi).
Juno’s Pizza, the new entrant in the city that also serves Jain options is a family owned Pizzeria that began its operations in Mumbai in the year 2009. Growing in popularity, today the pizzeria has expanded to 11 outlets across Maharashtra and Gujarat. With the launch of its 1st equity outlet in Ahmedabad, Juno’s Pizza aims to expand business in Gujarat by opening 40-50 stores across the state in the near future.
“We plan to expand to various cities in Gujarat very soon. Juno’s targets cities that have a potential growth of 8-10 stores or revenue of 1 crore per month,” said Aditya Shah, co-owner, Juno’s Pizza. He added, “Our break-even is currently on outlet basis which typically takes a time of 12-18 months.”
The 35 year old secret recipe which is the USP of the renowned pizzeria belongs to Aditya’s grandmother, who visited Italy and learned the art of pizza making, later creating her own unique and delicious version. Vegetarian and uniquely Indian in their flavour, what makes Juno’s pizzas different is that they are healthy too. Juno’s takes pride in offering healthier alternatives like gluten free pizzas and preservative-free pizzas. The pizza dough as well as the sauce are made in-house using natural ingredients and are completely free of chemicals and preservatives.
