Junagadh: girl beaten by police committed suicide

Yesterday in Junagadh, a girl was beaten by police committed suicide by consuming poison.

In incident of vehicle detention by police, there was a heated exchange between police and a vehicle rider girl and her father when they went to police station for release of their detained vehicle.

It is learnt that girl was beaten by police, so girl felt very humiliated and took extreme step to commit suicide. Girl died during treatment in the hospital.

Dead body of the girl is sent for post mortem to hospital and autopsy report is being obtained.

Talks between police and victim family is on to settle down. With the help of Community leaders, Police is trying to give assurance of justice in the case by an enquiry by independent officer.

Victim girl has made allegations against police over humiliating her and those people responsible are not traceable for the moment.

Victim family alleges for loss of life of their daughter against 2 PSI Police Sub Inspectors and  2 lady constables.
