Today evening in Ahmedabad, Jignesh Mevani MLA of Vadgam with 2,000 people gherao Gomtipur Police Station.

Jignesh started fasting in protest against openly running Liquor Den in Gomtipur area.

Local people makes allegation that police is hafta and taking no action against bootleggers in Gomtipur.

Jignesh Mevani says Liquor Den and Gambling Den are going on in Gomtipur and Rs 80,000 worth of liquor is sold in the area.

Jignesh wants Liquor Dens to be shut within 24 hours. If our demands are not satisfied then gherao at Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Office will be done added Jignesh.

Local people said they are ready to go to jail, if police will unnecessarily pressurize them. Local people, wants Liqour Den to be shut down immediately.

Gomtipur police has climbed upto terrace of police station.
