With government’s efforts to provide ‘ease of doing business’, the number of Japanese companies in India has increased by 137 in last one year, marking a 13 % rise over the previous year. Total number of Japanese companies registered in India now is 1209 against 1072 as in October 2013, as per official figures. Number of Japanese companies in India is targeted to be raised to 2000 by 2019, official sources said.
