Today in Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case, CBI’s Special Court grants bail to Additional DG PP Pandey. D G Vanzara gets bail on a bond of Rs 2 lakh rupees but will not be able to enter Gujarat.
Vanzara was granted bail at 4 pm. On order from Gujarat High Court, CBI is investigating the case since December 2011. During encounter Vanzara was posted witn Crime Branch. CBI chargesheet recorded date of encounter as 15th June 2004. Other officials GL Singhal, Narendra Amin, Tarun Barot, A chaudhary were listed in the chargesheet. Vanzara was arrested on 24th April 2007 and since then has been behind bars.
