Vikas Sahai was trained at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad. Has held numerous important posts in police department like SP Anand in 1999, SP Ahmedabad Rural in 2001, DCP Zone II & III Ahmedabad city in 2002, DCP Traffic Ahmedabad city in 2004, Additional CP Traffic.
Vikas Sahay has assumed all major responsibilities of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission, including in Bosnia-Herzegovina during 1998-99.
