National Medical Commission NMC guideline on interns joining after 18 Nov 2021, should be eligible for stipend and no fees to be levied from the intern.
Doctors who have returned after medical degree from abroad donot get benefit of stipend.
In Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, Intern doctors observed strike and kept away from their regular work as a mark ot protest. The guideline has been impelmented in oter states, to consider doctors with foerign degree at par with Indian doctors.
