A significant highlight of the event was the launch of Safe Teen Steps, authored by senior journalist and author Ms. Ragini Bharadwaj and Dr.Manjula Pooja Shroff. The book tackles the growing dangers teens face in the digital world, including taboo topics like cyberbullying, online grooming, catfishing, sexting, blackmailing, and social media addiction. “Teenage years are incredibly formative and fragile. It can either make or break a person. Exposure to content which is not suitable for young minds can impact their mental and emotional well-being. It is crucial for parents and educators to guide children through the digital challenges they face. For healthy development, open communication between parents and children is needed,” Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff said on the occasion.

According to a survey released by McAfee Corp, more than 85% of children in India have reported being cyber-bullied – the highest in the world. In addition, nearly 45% of the youth hide their cyberbullying experiences from their parents or guardians, highlighting the need to look beyond the physical realm, and explore the vast, uncharted territories of the digital world.

The event also introduced Sitting-By-MAYA, an online Adaptive AI interactive portal that offers instant solutions to parenting and student-related queries.
