In a tight contest for Presidential race, Joko Widodo, the reformist governor of Jakarta, and Prabowo Subianto, a self-styled military strongman, both were declared victorious .
For results, quick counts, which are based on samples of votes cast ,showed they have won the race.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, is stepping down in October after reaching the two-term limit and invited both sides to “restrain themselves”, avoid violence and not celebrate until the election commission releases the official results by July 22.
