Indian Coast Guard Ship Arush, whilst on patrol close to notional IMBL International Maritime Boundary Line rescued 7 fishermen from burning boat Kalash Raj today in coordination with other fishing boats in area. Ship caught fire due to fuel leakage from engine exhaust. Fishermen were taken onboard and provided first aid.
As per ICG ill fated boat could not be salvaged and sank untimely. Rescued fishermen were handed over to a fishing boat operating in the vicinity of Okha. The boat is likely to reach 7 am Okha by tomorrow.
