Recently, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani during Twitter TownHall Live program received many question from workers with fixed pay in the state. Association of Fixed Pay workers have decided to go on indefinite hunger strike from 2 October opposing policy of Gujarat government. President Rajnikant Solanki of Contract and Fixed Pay Grievance Committee said that they will go on indefinite hunger strike at Satyagrah Chhavani in Gandhinagar. Lot of workers are expected to take part in the strike.
To make aware workers with fixed pay meetings with workers from Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Anand, Bhavnagar, Mehsana and Patan will be held. Also, all MLAs will be appealed to join the strike with a copy of constitution.
Solanki has warned CM to get negative publicity against attempt to mesmerize people with Live program by BJP. The association will try to bring awareness on honoring constitution among people.
Gujarat high court has termed policy of fixed pay workers as unconstitutional. Even Supreme Court has criticized on it. Presently, there are 3.5 lakh workers with fixed pay structure unhappy against BJP government, as per sources.
