Police found imported liquor in a raid of GST in Electro Thermal company in Palodia village of Kalol district.
Santej police, who went to co-operate with GST officials in the investigation for GST raid, found liquor in the company’s box from the company’s owner’s office.
On inspecting Icer truck parked in parking area of company premises, about 1,000 different bottles of imported brand were found in the boxes of about 50 Electro Thermal companies in which transaction documents of the company were also found from the vehicle.
After further inquiries, police seized another 60 bottles of liquor from company’s Security Incharge and another 40 bottles of imported brand liquor were also found at the house of company owner Shailesh Kothari. Thus, Santej police registered three separate offenses and seized about 35 lakh imported liquor.
Santej PI Police Inspector Majaria is currently conducting further investigations and has registered an offense under the Prohibition Act against owner of the mastermind Electro Therm Company and taken further action.
