Today in Ahmedabad, in response to a PIL Public Interest litigation filed in Gujarat High Court over nuisance of stray cattle roaming on roads in city. Against notice from Gujarat HC AMC Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation submitted an affidavit stating that owner of stray cattle do not come to us for their release once we arrest them and keep them in cow shed.
There are 50,000 stray cattles in the city against capacity to keep 5,000 cattles only. It creates problem of space to keep them and fodder to feed them.
AMC said that Gujarat governmentt, is going to bring ordinance of filing compulsory FIR against owner of cattle owner and take tough action against them.
