Heavy rains in Ahmedabad; water logging and traffic jam in many areas
Today Weather agencies have forecasted heavy rain in Ahmedabad district. Also, people of Ahmedabad are warned to remain alert.
After heavy rains in most parts of Gujarat state, Army has been called by AMC Ahmedabad Municipal corporation authorities to fight any kind of Emergencies arising out of natural calamities.
Flood affected and people from low lying areas are advised by state administration to stock things of basic needs including Milk ,Tea, Bread and Butter and other eatables which can last for long. Weather conditions are likely to be worsened for next 3 days.
All Schools and Colleges have been declared closed due to heavy rains and Holiday has been given.
From morning heavy downpours lashed in the city. Scenes of water logging and traffic jam were common in Ahmedabad.
Most parts of the city received rain through out the day. Many low lying areas had knee deep waters.
Underpass at Paldi and Shahibag were submerged.
