Heavy rain in Saurashtra and Kutch

Because of Low pressure and Cyclonic system activation in Gujarat Over last few days, heavy rains lashed everywhere in the state. It rained in 187 talukas in last 24 hours in the state. Normal life disrupted due to heavy rain pounds Gujarat.
In Saurashtra, Heavy rain lashed Junagadh, Ghed region’s villages submerged. Porbandar, Bridge over Vartu river washed away by rain water, water entered farms. In Jamnagar, Crowds flock to Sidsar in Jamjodhpur to see a car stranded in the floodwaters in Venu River. Cows flow away in rainy; water on Vallabhipur Haliyad highway in Bhavnagar district and cows crossing flown away in water near causeway.Due to heavy rains in Devbhoomi Dwarka district, Charkala road was closed and water entered in Raval village.
Heavy rain lashed in Kutch, Mandvi received 2.5 inch rain in 2 hours. Heavy rains in Mandvi flooded low-lying areas including Azad Chowk, crowd area, Sajipadi, ST Road of Mandvi were flooded.
In Vadodara, due to rising water level of Vishwamitri river has alerted the villages along the river.Rains in Kheda district ruin farmers, crop failed due to rains for four consecutive days.Water level of Ukai Dam reached 333.77 feet, water intake in the dam is 1,42,648 cusecs, Outflow of water from the dam is 56,126 cusecs. Out of 22 gates of the dam, 13 gates have been opened and water is being released in Tapi river. Universal rainfall was recorded in Tapi district.
In Banaskantha, Ambaji received 2 inches rain in 2 hours, water accumulated in markets. Heavy rain predicted in Banaskantha for next 48 hours, district collector shares control room’s number for emergency situations.
