Heavy Rain forecast in Gujarat in next 5 days

National weather agency India Meteorological Department has predicted light to heavy rainfall in various regions of Gujarat in next 5 days. Heavy rainfall is likely in Banaskantha, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhotaudepur, and Bhavnagar districts. Heavy rains are also predicted on Rath Yatra on  July 7. IMD has given a five-day heavy to very heavy rainfall warning for the state due to a cyclonic circulation and an offshore trough. With significant downpours already having set foot in the North, Saurashtra  region, and South Gujarat, the IMD has issued various alerts regarding the current season.An orange alert has been issued for North and South Gujarat, whereas Yellow alert has been issued for Saurashtra region and Central Gujarat. Heavy rainfall has been forecasted in Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, and Aravalli in North Gujarat.Heavy showers are also anticipated in regions including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Patan, Mehsana, Kheda, Anand, Vadodara, Surendranagar, Botad, Bhavnagar, Morbi, Rajkot, and Amreli in the coming days. Fishermen have also been advised not to venture into high sea for the next 5 days due to the weather forecast.
