Weather Update: The weather is constantly changing in most of the states of the country. Terrible heatwave at some places while incessant rain at some states in India.
IMD Indian Meteorological Department has given an alert for heatwave in many states. Severe drought will prevail in five states. According to IMD, heat wave will increase in West Bengal, Bihar and coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 5 days.
According to Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is likely to be between 40 and 42 degrees celsius in the plains of North-West India and Madhya Pradesh and some parts of East India. However, there will be relief from heat in Delhi-NCR for next few days. According to the IMD, there is a possibility of discrete rains here for next four days.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert due to rain in many states of the Middle East including West Bengal. West Bengal Chief Minister has decided to keep schools and colleges in Bengal closed till Saturday. According to the Meteorological Department, rain and heat wave is likely to increase across the state from Monday.
Haryana and Punjab are also experiencing severe heat. Due to which a yellow alert has been declared. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh on Tuesday and Himachal Pradesh during April 18 and 19. Also, rain may occur in Uttarakhand on April 19.
According to private weather agency , the weather will remain clear in most parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, parts of Punjab, Haryana, Gangetic West Bengal and North Odisha with light to moderate rain at one or two places with heavy rain and hail likely. Light rain is also likely at a few places over Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
