Today Hardik Patel, on quota agitation posed questions on ‘Gujarat Model’ of development and said he will “expose the reality behind it. While making announcements in Gandhinagar during a Press Conference about the next round of agitations, Hardik, leads a faction of Patel groups campaigning to get reservation under OBC quota, quoted some examples to prove his point. He added this government claims that farmers are very happy in Gujarat then why two farmers committed suicide in last one week? Reason that people involved in recruitment rackets are not punished? Innocent women are beaten up and sent to jail by police? Is this the Gujarat Model?” . He alleged that Patels are being subjected to violence by police and the state government delayed the swaraj polls to their benefit. He also demanded that government should make its stand clear on Patidar reservation in writing.
Talking about reservation strategy, he announced program in Ratlam of Madhya Pradesh. Also comprehensve programs during Oct 12 to 29 were announced in Saurashtra, including a rally in Amerli during Oct 14-15, protest in Rajkot on Oct 18, protest in Surendranagar on Oct 28. On Oct 22, program of Ravan Dahan was announced by Hardik.
