Today Gujarat Congress leader Hardik Patel sits on hunger strike with demand of crop insurance for farmers. Hardik is protesting for the farmer Satyagraha starting from today in the paṛadharī tehsil of Rajkot District.
The entire debt of farmers and the whole money of Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance scheme to be given to the farmers with this demand that they will reach the village village of Gujarat. Hardik is hopefull that Farmers will fight and win.

Congress MLA Lalit Kagathara, who accompanied Hardik in fasting, claimed that the relief package would hardly cover the actual losses incurred by the farmers.
The package is just another lollypop by the BJP government. As per the package, a farmer would get Rs 2,000 to Rs 1,000 per bigha as a compensation. You can hardly cover the cost of hiring two labourers in that money. This announcement is misleading. Farmers must get 100 % payment towards the loss of their crop.
